Exchange Options
The Europhotonics master has been selected by the European Agency in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) 2018 call. The partners of the new program are the former ones (AMU Marseille, KIT Karlsruhe, the Universities of Barcelona) plus two additional European Universities (Tampere-Finland, Vilnius-Lithuania). Five non-European Universities will also participate in the program (Shanghai Jiao-Tong-China, Rochester-USA, Gondar-Ethiopia, Sydney-Australia, UNAM-Mexico). Four editions will be funded by the European Commission until 2024.

Study in Marseille or Barcelona!
The agreements signed between the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the Aix-Marseille University and the Universities of Barcelona for the local Masters in Photonics provide an equivalence of the semesters. In this context, for a KSOP student, the validation of the 3rd semester of the Master in Marseille or in Barcelona will be equivalent to a validation of the 3rd semester of the Master in Optics and Photonics at KSOP.
Scholarships available
For this mobility, the KSOP students can benefit from an Erasmus+ mobility scholarship (around 100€/month) or from a scholarship of the A*Midex foundation (800€/month).
- For the Erasmus+ scholarships the students must apply at KIT. You can find further information on the website of the International Students Office.
- For the A*Midex scholarships the students must apply online on the website of the Europhotonics-POESII Master.
In both cases the applications will open in May.
